Next Bersih 5?

I did have an unfinished blog which I hesitated to post. Before that, I would like to trash out some of the ideas for Bersih 5 regarding the trash issue!

Lets get straight to the point! We were given only a plastic gloves and rubbish bags for the cleaning jobs. After we had done our job, our  minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan claims that the we had left behind rubbish and urine and want the organizers to pay RM65,000 for the process of the rubbish!

My idea???

TURN THE RUBBISH INTO CASH!!!

Simple and easy! All we need to do is to have a more organized volunteers to separate plastic bottles, aluminium bottles, and un-recyclable rubbish! We will sell the recyclable rubbish. By doing this,

1. Plastic Only (Plastic bottle, cups, packets...etc) - Large bag
2. Aluminium cans Only - Medium bag
3. Un-recyclable rubbish Only - Small bag

Through my rubbish collecting experience, almost 70% of the rubbish are plastic bottles, bags, or cups! People bought drinks and disposed the plastic containers. Some 20% are aluminium cans, Most of the time, the paper they used will not be able to be recycled (tissue paper, food packing... etc). That's why I did not include papers to be collected. Furthermore, they are heavy.

The organizers actually had planned the similar thing. They had prepared 2 different colour of bags. The only problem is the plan is not well communicated to the volunteers. Thus, all we did is just grab the bags and collect the rubbish.

Work Together With the Private Companies and Recycling Centers

Who doesn't love free resources? It is always good to work together with the private companies so that they may prepare lorries for the scrap plastics and aluminium they want.

Conclusion?

We want everything to be clean! That's the spirit of Bersih! I believe we can do better in our next rally! Fight for clean government and clean environment! Let the meaning of the word "Bersih" shine upon Malaysia.
